This single-room treehouse is built with intention, heart pine floors salvaged from a century-old furniture store, a handcrafted bed, and an antique oak door with its original doorbell from an 1890s Georgia farmhouse. The main level holds a king bed, a queen pullout, and a kitchen equipped for real cooking with an induction cooktop, convection microwave, and mini fridge. A ladder leads to a loft above. Floor-to-ceiling views pull in the valley and mountains beyond, while a projector turns evenings into something cinematic once the sun goes down. Outside, the space expands: a hot tub, fire pit, pizza oven, charcoal grill, and outdoor shower make the deck feel like an extension of the living space itself.
The treehouse sits on Lookout Mountain, just three miles from Cloudland Canyon and twenty miles from downtown Chattanooga. The property includes an old pottery studio, formerly Rising Fawn Pottery, founded by Charles Counts, whose work has been featured in the Smithsonian. Sunsets here are the kind that tend to stop whatever you're doing.
Days might start slow, coffee with valley views, the mountain air still cool. Afternoons could mean a hike at Cloudland Canyon or time in the pottery studio, where art supplies invite you to make something with your hands.
